Betty Lou (Evans) Powell

Betty Evans Powell, 75, Ebenezer-Ovil Road, died Friday, August 9, 2019 at Baptist Health Louisville of natural causes.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2019 at Lamb Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Hayes officiating. Burial will be at Ebenezer Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 11, 2019 at the funeral home.

A native of Todd County, she was born July 30, 1944, the daughter of the late James Chester Evans and Elsie Lucyle Rager Evans.

She worked on the farm and was a hairdresser. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Evans.

Survivors include her husband, James E. "Jimmy" Powell, Hopkinsville; her son, Douglas Garner (Ohana) Powell, Hopkinsville; and her sister, Judy Turner ( Gathial "G.W." ) Knight, Hopkinsville;  and 2 Grandchildren.
