James "Jimmy" Doss Jr

James "Jimmy" Doss Jr., 70, of Gracey Kentucky died on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018 following in a apparent drowning at Lake Beshear in Caldwell County. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday Nov. 13, 2018 at New Work Fellowship with Dr. Kevin Lee officiating. Burial will be at Hamby Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the service time at New Work Fellowship. A native of Christian County, he was born August 10,1948, the son of the late James Edward Doss Sr., and Katherine Atkinson Johnson He was a grain manager at Hopkinsville Elevator for 35 years. He was a member of New Work Fellowship. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Scott Pryor. Survivors include his wife, Karen Doss of Gracey KY.; his sons, James "Jay" Doss III, Christian County, Billy Johnson Jr., Gracey KY.; his daughters, Jill (Andy) Doss Judkins of Gracey KY, and Bailey Jo Johnson, Nashville, Tenn.; his two brothers, Randy (Kim) Doss of Gilbertsville, KY., and Billy (Mona) Johnson Sr., Crofton KY.; his two sisters, Kathy (David) Pruitt of Pembroke KY.; and Betty (Ned) Hall of Hopkinsville KY.; 5 grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to New Work Fellowship Building Fund "Time Is Now" or Saint Judes Children Hospital.
