John Leek

John Leek, 75, Shurdan Creek Road, died at 12:46 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2019, at his home of natural causes.

Services will be at 12 p.m. Wednesday at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Scott officiating. Burial will be in Metropolis Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Metropolis, Illinois.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour Wednesday at the funeral home.

A native of Metropolis, Illinois, he was born May 6, 1943, the son of the late Cecil Paul and Jane Retha Schnoff Leek.

He was a machine operator for White Hydraulics. He was a member of Bainbridge Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Delores Leek, Hopkinsville; his sons, John Paul Leek, Hopkinsville, Matthew Leek, Pembroke; his daughters, Johnna Howard and Paula Sledge, both of Hopkinsville; his brothers, Joe Leek Sr., Jim Leek, Jeff Leek, and Jack Leek, all of Hopkinsville; his sisters, Joann McNichols, Metropolis,Ill, Joy Stokes, Madisonville, KY, Jacqueline Bird, Hopkinsville; 9 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
