Lois Carol (Davis) Goode

Lois Carol Davis Goode, 74, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Nortonville, Kentucky, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 18, 2019 at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center in Houston, Texas of natural causes.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Lamb Funeral Home. Burial will follow at New Barren Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2019 at the funeral home.

A native of Christian County, she was born on June 25, 1944, the daughter of the late Elbert Rex Davis and the late Ruby Lee Johnson Davis.

She was a quality control manager for Tyson Chicken. She attended Crofton High School. Also she was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, country music, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Wayne Goode, her brother, James Hanson Davis, her maternal grandparents, Ben and Grace Johnson, and her paternal grandparents, Bud and Fannie Davis.

 Survivors include her children, Sheila Goode and Mike Johnston, Timothy “Bucky” (Tracy) Goode, Tammy Doolin (John) Zarnowiecki, and Rodney Abbott; and her grandchildren, Chelse Cunningham, Justin Goode, Sierra Dawes, Dustin Goode, Cameron Zarnowiecki, and Thomas Zarnowiecki.
