Nora Dyer, 82, N. Old Madisonville Road, died Thursday, August 22, 2019, at her son's home of natural causes.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Ridgetop Cemetery in Crofton with Rev. Darrell Russell officiating.
A native of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, she was born August 6, 1937, the daughter of the late Doc and Myrtle Whitaker Ford.
She was an elementary school teacher for 53 years, having taught at Grapevine Elementary School in White Plains, Kentucky and also at Lacy Elementery School. She was a member of Kentucky Teacher Association, Eastern Star, and was a Kentucky Colonel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Dyer.
Survivors include her son, Alfred "Freddie" Dyer, Crofton; her daughter, Patty Dyer West, Hopkinsville; her sister, Helen Ford Duncan, Hopkinsville; and four grandchildren.
