Opal Holland, 81, Memory Lane, died Saturday, October 26, 2019, at his home of natural causes.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 1, 2019 at Lamb Funeral Home with Steve Holland officiating and Gary Mitchell assisting. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 31, 2019 at the funeral home.
A native of Pettigrew, Arkansas, he was born December 19, 1937, the son of the late Delmer Holland and the late Dolly Hoskins Holland.
He was a logger and owner/operator of a saw mill. He served in the United States Navy. He attended Rock Front Baptist Church in Cadiz. He was a member of the Pennyrile Coon Hunters Club. He also was a member of Jaycees, where he did a benefit in Decatur County, TN for St. Jude Children's Hospital.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joe Wayne Holland; and three brothers, Vivian Holland, L.D. Holland and Clel Holland.
Survivors included his wife of 59 years, Georgia Holland, Hopkinsville; his son, Steve Holland, Hopkinsville; his daughters, Karen (Lee) Holland McGregor; Sharon (Carroll) Holland Cunningham, Kathy (Neil) Holland Campbell, all of Hopkinsville; his brother, Lonnie Holland, Hagarville, Arkansas; his sister, Genevie Melson; 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
