Samuel F. Rittenberry Jr.

Samuel F. Rittenberry, Jr.  85, Antioch Road, died Wednesday August 14, 2019 at Christian Heights Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of natural causes.

A Memorial Service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2019  at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Evans officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the service hour on Monday, August 19, 2019 at the funeral home.

A native of Christian County, he was born July 1, 1934, the son of the late Samuel Fulton Rittenberry, Sr. and Annie Ovie Stokes Rittenberry.

He was a Supervisor at Metcalf Wholesale for over 45 years and a member of Gracey Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Lynn Rittenberry and Dennis Rittenberry; one step son, James Yates; one step daughter, Kathy Yates Williams; and one sister, Lucille Barton.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years Virginia Ann Rittenberry, Hopkinsville; his daughter, Sherry Moore, Hopkinsville; three step sons, Kenny Yates, Bowling Green, KY;  Michael Yates, Hopkinsville, and Timmy Yates, Greenville, KY; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
