Steve "Weezy" Hayes

Steve Hayes, 57, Sanderson Drive, died at 12:23 a.m. Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center of natural causes.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Lamb Funeral Home with Dr. Kevin Lee officiating and Mike McKinney will be assisting. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

A native of Hopkinsville, he was born October 11, 1961, the son of the late George Thomas Hayes and Peggy Hayes Ross.

He was a Journeyman Lineman for Hopkinsville Electric System. He was a member at New Work Fellowship. He graduated from Hopkinsville High School Class of 1979.

Survivors include his mother, Peggy Ross Hayes, Hopkinsville; his son, Alex Hayes, Murray, KY; his daughter, Sara Beth (Adam) Robertson, Hopkinsville; his sisters, Marsha (Wendell) Almon, Cheryl (David) Jones, both of Hopkinsville; his brothers, James Hayes, Michael Hayes, Johnnie Wayne Hayes, all of Hopkinsville; 2 Grandchildren.
