Vi Mooney

Vi Mooney, 84, of Barkers Mill Road, Pembroke, KY, died Thursday, September 12, 2019, at her home of natural causes.

Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with Jonathan Arvin officiating. Lamb Funeral Home will be assisting with arrangements.

A native of Henderson County, Kentucky, she was born August 14, 1935, the daughter of the late Floyd G. Gibson and the late Sara Connell Gibson.

She was an LPN at Jennie Stuart Medical Center for 14 years. She was in the United States Army. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Pembroke, Kentucky.

Survivors include, her husband of 65 years, Don Mooney, Pembroke; her son, Don Mooney Jr., Pembroke; her daughter, Pam (Michael) Hayes, Pembroke; her brothers, Donald Gibson, Enfield, Illinois, Jackie Floyd Gibson, Darrell Gibson, and Freddie Gibson, all of Henderson, KY; her sisters, Dorothy Terry and Norma Smith, both of Henderson, KY; Christine Waugh, Missouri, Linda Wright and Martha Bennett both of Henderson, KY, Diane Reynolds, St. Louis, Missouri; and Janie Harris, Horton, Alabama; 1 grandchild, John Michael Hayes.
