Virginia Nell Jessup

Virginia Nell Jessup, 80, North Drive, Hopkinsville, Kentucky, died on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at her home of natural causes.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Daryl Russell officiating and Jeff Johnson assisting. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the funeral home.

A native of Kirksmanville, Kentucky, she was born July 21, 1939, the daughter of the late Prentice Spurlin and the late Buna Corley Spurlin.

She was a cashier at IGA in Hopkinsville for many years and a member at Church of God of Prophecy. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton H. Jessup, and her brothers, Phillip Spurlin, Raymond Lee Spurlin and William Roy Spurlin.

Survivors include her son, Dewayne (Renee) Jessup, Hopkinsville; her daughter, Dwan (Larry) Buchanan, Fredonia; her brother, Robert Spurlin, Jonesboro, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
