Virginia L. Stokes

Virginia L. Stokes, 85, Quail Club Road, died Wednesday July 17, 2019 at her sons home of natural causes.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday July 19, 2019 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. David Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday July 19, 2019 at the funeral home.

A native of Logan County, Kentucky, she was born July 20, 1933, the daughter of the late Jesse Rigsby and Jennie McKinney Rigsby.

She was a homemaker and member of Concord Baptist Church. She was also a Kentucky Colonel.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edmond Stokes; and her brother, Ed Rigsby.

Survivors include her son, Michael D. (Pam) Stokes, Christian County; her daughter, Patricia Stokes Harris, Russellville, Kentucky; her sisters, Marie Herndon, Leominster, Ma., Shirley (Max) Britt, Columbia, SC; 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
