Barbara Joyce Bird

Barbara Joyce Bird, 77, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Monday, March 25, 2024 at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West, Nashville, TN of natural causes. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Bird officiating and Rev. Darrell Russell assisting. Burial will follow in Peaceful Meadows Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the funeral home. 

A native of Hopkinsville, KY, she was born May 23, 1946, the daughter of the late Orbrey Edwards and the late Lothell (Simpson) Edwards.

Barbara was a homemaker and a member of Church of God of Prophecy. 

 Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Jerry Bird, Hopkinsville, KY; her son, Steven (Jacqueline) Bird, Hopkinsville, KY; her daughter, Angela (Jason) Groppel, Clarksville, TN; her brother, Larry (Kaye) Edwards, Crofton, KY; her sisters, Linda (Darrell) Russell, Crofton, KY, Judy (John) Smith, Richmond, KY; her grandchildren, Steven Wayne Bird, Jr., Jessica Bird Berman, Justin Bird, Joshua Groppel, and Josiah Groppel; and nine great-grandchildren.
