Barkley Gilliland

Barkley Gilliland, 89, Princeton Road, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Monday, July 14, 2025 at his home of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Lamb Funeral Home with David Daniel officiating and Andrew Hawkins assisting. Burial will follow in Harmony Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the funeral home.

A native of Christian County, KY, he was born April 27, 1936, the son of the late Cletus Dulin Gilliland and the late Ethel (McCargo) Gilliland.

Barkley served in the United States Army. He was a truck driver and worked at Stallons Auto Sales. He was a member of New Palestine Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Patsy Gilliland, Hopkinsville, KY; his daughter, Valerie (Gary) Martin, Hopkinsville, KY; his son, John (Nancy) Gilliland, Hopkinsville, KY, his step-sons, Randy (Trina) Strom, Flagstaff, AZ, Dennis (Kelly) Strom, Dunbar, WV; his grandchildren, Joshua Martin, Jeremy Martin, Sara Fay, and Emily Smith; and 11 great-grandchildren.
