Bennie L. Herndon

Bennie L. Herndon, 81, Coal Creek Road, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at Bradford Heights Nursing and Rehab of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Allen Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Powell Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the funeral home.

A native of Trigg County, KY, he was born May 7, 1940, the son of the late Wesley Herndon and the late Millie Herndon.

Bennie was an electrician for Jesco Electric. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Eagles. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Herndon; his daughter, Melissa Luckado; his brothers, JT Herndon and Kenneth Herndon; his sisters, Margaret Harper, Barbara Boren, and Sara Young.

Survivors include his sons, Derrick (Risë) Herndon, Hopkinsville, KY, Lonnie Herndon, Ft. Myers, FL; his daughters, Kelly (Rodney) Thomas and Candy Overton, both of Hopkinsville, KY; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
