Betsy Walton

Betsy Walton, 88, Keachland Drive, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Monday, December 29, 2025 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2025 at Lamb Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Bufford officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Friday, January 2, 2025 at the funeral home.

A native of Lafayette, KY, she was born July 11, 1937, the daughter of the late Elliott P. Gibbs and the late Katie Mae (Killebrew) Gibbs.

Betsy retired from Jennie Stuart Medical Center after 28 years as a coder/abstractor in medical records. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where she was director of children’s nursery, taught children’s Sunday school, and was a part of women’s mission union. She was also a member of Canton Pike Homemakers. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Walton; two brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include her son, Harold Michael Walton, Hopkinsville, KY; her granddaughters, Dana Lynn Walton Embrey and Brandy Nicole Hale; her great-grandson, Joshua Lee Embrey II; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 920 Skyline Drive, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
