Obituary

Bill F. Allen, 74, Fairfax Avenue, died Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

A private family service will be held Friday, March 20, 2020 at Lamb Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Bunger officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.

A native of Harrisburg, Illinois, he was born September 24, 1945, the son of the late William Bertis Allen and the late Elsie Ferne Evans Allen.

He was a coal miner and served in the United States Army as Specialist 5th Class. Also, he had worked in maintenance at the University of Illinois Research Center.

He was a member and deacon at Living Hope Baptist Church. Bill was also a 32 Degree Mason at Mason Lodge 325 in Harrisburg, Illinois, a member of the American Legion, Ainid Shrine, and Gideons International, Hopkinsville Chapter.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Allen, Hopkinsville; his daughter, Jennifer (Mark) Pierce, Cadiz, KY; and four grandchildren, Paiton Mills, Evan Mills, Brayden Mills and Jacob Pierce.
