Bob Liles, 83, Martin Place Drive, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville, Madisonville, KY of natural causes.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Daniel Huck officiating. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at the church.
A native of Muhlenberg County, KY, he was born May 27, 1943, the son of the late Cleo Liles and the late Avriel (Adkins) Liles.
Bob served in the United States Army. He retired from law enforcement after working as a trooper for Kentucky State Police, a detective for Hopkinsville Police Department, and a bailiff for Christian County Sheriff’s Office. He also volunteered with Boy Scouts of America serving as an assistant scout master for Troop 3123. Bob was a member of First United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Liles and Jerry Liles.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Betty Pierce Liles, Hopkinsville, KY; his son, Rhea Kidd, Hopkinsville, KY; his sister-in-law, Judy Liles; and his grandchildren, Robert Rhea Kidd, Abigal Kidd, and Katherine Kidd.
