Carol Kern

Carol Kern, 72, Country Club Lane, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020 at her home of natural causes.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with Steve Reed officiating. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

A native of Fairview, KY, she was born March 26, 1948, the daughter of the late John Boone Johnson and the late Dalpha Belle (Kelley) Johnson.

She worked for JCPenney and was a member of Eastview Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Floyd Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Kern, Hopkinsville, KY; her daughters, Kimberly Mechelle (Donald) Kern Braboy, Hopkinsville, KY, and Kelly Marie (Carson) Kern Cumbee, Apex, North Carolina; her brothers, Donny Johnson, Elkton, KY, and John Johnson, Midway, KY; her sister, Sandra Joiner, Trenton, KY; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
