Carolyn Johnson

Carolyn Johnson, 78, Doug Combs Road, Hopkinsville, KY died Sunday, May 24, 2020 at her home of natural causes.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

A native of Christian County, KY, she was born July 14, 1941, the daughter of the late Norman Bradley Hamby and the late Vernell Litchfield Hamby.

She was a housekeeper at Jennie Stuart Medical Center and a member of Christian Heights United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Howard Johnson; her brother, Gaylon Hamby; and her sister, Nancy Diana Hamby.

Survivors include her sons, Bradley Wayne (Yvette) Holmes, Christian County, KY, Charles Howard Johnson Jr., Mobile, AL; her daughters, Teresa Carol Douthitt, Christian County, KY, Loretta "Lori" Ann (John) Hyndman, Chandler, IN, Karen (Tommy) Bruce, Christian County, KY; her sister, Retta Newnum, Christian County, KY; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
