Charles “Cookie” Powell

Charles “Cookie” Powell, 73, Ebenezer-Ovil Road, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Trigg County Hospital of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Neil Immel officiating and Rev. Jeremy Hayes assisting. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the funeral home.

A native of Christian County, KY, he was born September 1, 1951, the son of the late Rufus Hazel Powell and the late Ruby Jane (Burchett) Powell.

Cookie was a farmer for Powell Farms and a member of New Ebenezer Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Powell; and his sister, Edith Stokes.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Beverly Bridges Powell, Christian County, KY; his son, Jason (Lynn) Powell, Christian County, KY; his brother, Elmer David Powell, Christian County, KY; his sister, Charlene (Dave) Bunch, Christian County, KY; his grandson, Chandler Ryan Powell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
