Dawson Moore

Dawson Moore, 95, Henderson Drive, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Pastor John Tatum officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the funeral home.

A native of Stewart County, TN, he was born August 8, 1926, the son of the late William Henry Moore and the late Evie Ray (Henson) Moore.

Dawson retired from maintenance at Friendship House.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Katherine Moore; his daughter, Linda Moore Waldrop; his brothers, Wayne D. Moore, Paul Moore, Junior Moore, and Roy Moore; his sisters, Jean Keene, Kay Gillingham, Margie Brown, and Francis Adkinson.

Survivors include his son, Ronald “Ronnie” (Donna) Moore and Raymond D. Moore, both of Hopkinsville, KY; his daughter, Shirley (Leroy) Peterson, Hopkinsville, KY; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
