Dixie (Wyatt) Winders Young

Dixie Wyatt Winders Young, 83, Foxchase Court, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Bradford Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation of natural causes.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Green Hill Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Tucker officiating. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

A native of Trigg County, KY, she was born July 17, 1940, the daughter of the late Chester Boyd Wyatt and the late Prenta Mae (Boren) Wyatt.

Dixie was a homemaker and member of Second Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmy Winders; and her daughter, Sharon Lynn Pepper.

Survivors include her husband of 17 years, H. Wayne Young, Hopkinsville, KY; her daughter, Janet Lea Winders, Goodlettsville, TN; her brother, Donald Boyd Wyatt, Boise, ID; her grandchildren, Heather Lynn Pepper and Josh Winders; and her great-grandchild, Paisley Winders.
