Doris Juanita McKee

Doris Juanita McKee, 94, Seminole Drive, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025 at Christian Health Center in Hopkinsville, KY of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 17, 2025 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Cecilia Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from noon until the service hour on Monday, March 17, 2025 at the funeral home.

A native of Evansville, Indiana, she was born July 13, 1930, the daughter of the late George William Proctor and the late Treacie (Meade) Proctor. 

Doris was a cafeteria worker at Christian County High School and a member of New Barren Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Garland; and her brother, James Allen Proctor.

Survivors include her husband of 75 years, Jasper Darrell "JD" McKee, Hopkinsville, KY; her sons, Rick (Maria) McKee, Gracey, KY, Kenny (Karen) McKee, Cadiz, KY; her daughter, Vonda (David) Aldridge, Hopkinsville, KY; her sisters, Evelyn Frashier, Alice Floyd, and Ann Vandiver, all of Henderson, KY; 7 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
