Doris Medeiros

Doris Medeiros, 84, Cox Mill Road, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at Western State Nursing Facility of natural causes.

A private family service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Dill officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.

A native of Shaw, Mississippi, she was born August 4, 1936, the daughter of the late Verlie Arlando Chism and the late Helen Kathleen Chism.

She was the receptionist and book keeper at Dr. Don Perkins’ office in Hopkinsville for many years. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Eric Glenn Medeiros; her brother, Verlie O'neal Chism; and her sister, Ruby Vega. 

Survivors include her husband, Dan Medeiros, Hopkinsville, KY; her sons, Michael Douglas (Teresa) Medeiros, Hopkinsville, KY, and Ivan Daniel (Theresa) Medeiros, Hopkinsville, KY; her daughter, Danya Marie Greer, Russellville, KY; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
