Douglas Earl Simpson

Douglas E. Simpson, 76, Shady Lawn Nursing Home and Rehabilitation, Cadiz, Kentucky died Monday, February 10, 2020 at his home of natural causes.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020 at Sinking Fork Church Cemetery. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements

A native of Christian County, Kentucky, he was born on October 17, 1943, the son of the late Oscar H. Simpson and the late Nellie Louise (Marsh) Simpson.

He was an Automobile Detailer at Barnes Motor Company and attended Crofton Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Simpson and three sisters, Ernestine Pendleton, Helen Good and Juanita Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Kaye Gee Simpson, Hopkinsville; his daughters, Cynthia A. McMican, Hopkinsville, Melissa (Greg) Doyon, Louisville, KY; his brothers, Hillman Simpson, Clifford Simpson, William Simpson, Kenneth Simpson and Keith Simpson all of Christian County; his sisters, Nell Cooper, Mortons Gap, KY, Pauline White and Carolyn Sugg, Christian County; 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
