Earl W. Combs, Sr.

Earl W. Combs, Sr., 71, Highpoint Drive, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville, Clarksville, TN, of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, August 6, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Father Michael Charles Abiero officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the funeral home.

A native of Hopkinsville, KY, he was born July 13, 1950, the son of the late Dudley Combs and the late Annie Lucille (Crawford) Combs.

Earl served in the United States Army. He was a supervisor at Fredenberg Filtration Technologies. He was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Disabled American Veterans. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Combs and John Eugene Combs; and his sister, Wanda Woods.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Jeannie Gruppi Combs, Hopkinsville, KY; his son, Earl Wayne (Jennifer Burden) Combs, Jr., Hopkinsville, KY; his daughter, Malisa Combs Braxton, Hopkinsville, KY; his step-daughter, Malinda Strunk, Hopkinsville, KY; his brother, Junior (Barbara) Combs, Louisville, KY; his sisters, Bessie Martin and Loraine Lindsey, both of Chillicothe, OH; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
