Ennis Earl Allen, 87, Witty Lane, Hopkinsville, KY passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown, Nashville, TN of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2026 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Skipworth officiating and Nathan Workman assisting. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at the funeral home.
A native of Christian County, KY, he was born October 16, 1938, the son of the late Floris Allen and the late Nettie (Rives) Allen.
Ennis Earl was a magnet wire operator at Phelps Dodge for 31 years. He also worked at Woody’s Restaurant, The Wood Shed, and Horseshoe Restaurant. Ennis Earl was an avid Christian County High School sports fan. He also served the community as an umpire and referee for youth leagues, as well as high school sports, for 63 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Mayton; and his brothers, Billy Allen, Roy Allen, Popeye Allen, and Tim Allen.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Faye Allen, Hopkinsville, KY; his sons, Mickey (Gayle) Allen, Wiggins, MS, Ricky P'Pool, Hopkinsville, KY; his daughter, Cindy (Danny) Cloutier, Linwood, MI; his sister, Ann Reed, Hopkinsville, KY; his grandchildren, Clint (Sarah) Cloutier, Clay (the late Jessica) Cloutier, Carly Jo (Blaine) Haggerty, Ryan (Jen) P'Pool, Cameron (Ashyln) Allen; his great-grandchildren, Brooke Dantzer, Adian Cloutier, Kylan Haggerty, Easton Haggerty, Brody P'Pool, and Hayden P'Pool.
