Evelyn “Pookie” Diane Williams

Evelyn Diane “Pookie” Williams, 64, Hillcliff Drive, died Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Lamb Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the funeral home.

A native of Hopkinsville, she was born November 5, 1955, the daughter of the late Herbert Henry Gibbs and the late Sylvia Fields Gibbs.

She was a seamstress for Flynn Enterprise. She also had previously worked for Elk Brand and the local movie theater. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Douglas Williams.

Survivors include her son, David Douglas Williams, Hopkinsville; her brother, Larry Herbert Gibbs, Hopkinsville; her sister, Regina Price, Hopkinsville; her grandchildren, Teresa Hodge, Dax Williams, Shelby Lewis, Janea Watkins, Brianna Williams, Destiny Williams, Desiree Williams, all of Hopkinsville; and 8 great-grandchildren.
