Frieda Gilford

Frieda Gilford, 67, Russellville Road, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Alive Hospice, Nashville, TN of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Roy King officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the funeral home.

A native of Evansville, IN, she was born April 29, 1956, the daughter of the late Virgil Rubell Settle and the late Cora Eileen (Tichenor) Settle.

Frieda was past director of Christian County Animal Shelter. She was a member of Kindness for K-9’s, Christian County Humane Society, and Bridge of Hope Fellowship.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Billy Ray Gilford, Hopkinsville, KY; her son, Charles “Chuck” (Kenya) Gilford, Hopkinsville, KY; her brothers, Mark (Ruth) Settle, Elizabethtown, IL, Dwight (Shannon) Settle, Hopkinsville, KY; her sisters, Janet (Ricky) Lee, Hopkinsville, KY, Barbara (Joey) Dulin, Crofton, KY; her grandchildren, Savannah Gilford, Paisley Gilford, Kimberly Fowler, and Cheyenne Fowler.
