Garland "Goober" Calvin

Garland "Goober" Calvin, 81, Shiloh Church Road, Hopkinsville, KY passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center, Hopkinsville, KY of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Weatherford officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the funeral home.

A native of Christian County, KY, he was born July 5, 1940, the son of the late Elwyn Calvin and the late Lucy T. (Rogers) Calvin.

He was a backhoe operator.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Cook; and his brothers, Bobby Ray Calvin, Elmer “Buck” Calvin, and Billy Wayne Calvin.

Survivors include his brothers, Charles Coleman Calvin, Wadesville, IN, Clifford Paul Calvin and Dorris Elwyn Calvin, both of Christian County, KY; and his sister, Phyllis Ann Grace, Christian County, KY.
