Gene Adkins

Gene Adkins, 83, Lafayette Road, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024 at his home of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Lamb Funeral Home. Private burial will follow in Peaceful Meadows Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at the funeral home.

A native of Christian County, KY, he was born April 25, 1940, the son of the late Chester Adkins and the late Eva Barnes Brame.

Gene served in the United States Navy. He was owner of Gene Adkins Vinyl Siding and Windows for 45 years. His favorite hobby was fishing and was a member of Hoptown Bass Club and League of Kentucky Sportsmen. He was a member and treasurer of Hopkinsville Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lona McKinney Adkins, Hopkinsville, KY; his brothers, Lamaar “Chester” Adkins and Gary Adkins, both of Lincoln Park, MI; and his sister, Rosalind (Bob) Davidson, St. Clair, MI.
