George Schamp Obituary
George E. Schamp, 90, Riverbend Road Ext., Hopkinsville, KY, died Friday, May 8, 2020 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
A private family service will be held Monday, May 11, 2020 with John Voss officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
A native of Christian County, KY, he was born November 20, 1929, the son of the late Ed Schamp and the late Ozzie Bell Williams Schamp.
He was a foreman for John Dell Builders and a member of Eagle Way Church of Christ. Also, he served in the United States Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Garrett Markham Schamp; and his sister, Mary Esther Renshaw.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Mary Alice Schamp, Hopkinsville, KY.
