Gerald Barton

Gerald Barton, 77, Vass Lane, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Lamb Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Bufford officiating.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the service hour on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the funeral home.

A native of Colquitt County, GA, he was born March 27, 1945, the son of the late Shelby Isaiah Barton and the late Faustine (Bailey) Maxwell.

Gerald was a manager for National Beef Packing Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Geneva Westmoreland.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Barton, Hopkinsville, KY; his sons, Jerry Garrell Barton, Carrizo Springs, TX, Benjamin Shelby (Vanessa) Barton, Chesapeake, VA, James Gerald “Jamie” (Alisa) Barton II, Hopkinsville, KY; his brother, Shelby Gene Barton, Houston, TX; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
