Gerald W. Bennett, 57, Terry Coal Road, Crofton, KY passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024 at his home of natural causes.
A celebration of life will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Lamb Funeral Home.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY, he was born November 13, 1966, the son of the late Mary Bennett.
Gerald was a supervisor at Riken Elastomer and a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. He previously coached middle school, junior varsity, and varsity boys basketball at Heritage Christian Academy, as well as junior varsity and varsity girls at Hopkinsville High School. He also coached Junior Pro at the sportsplex and tball/softball at Ruff Park.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Bennett and Jimmy Henderson.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Sheila Bennett, Crofton, KY; his daughter, Chelsey Bennett, Hopkinsville, KY; his son, James (Megean) Stagner, Hopkinsville, KY; his brothers, Darrell (Marcy) Bennett, Crofton, KY, Keith Henderson and Charlie (Carla) Henderson, both of Hopkinsville, KY; his sisters, Kim Bennett-Crick, Madisonville, KY, Linda (Mark) Smith, Todd County, KY; and his grandson, Gavin Stagner.
