Homer Gentry Dixon, 92, Otis Circle West, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. David Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until the service hour on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the funeral home.
A native of Caldwell County, KY, he was born February 3, 1929, the son of the late Homer Terry Dixon and the late Bertie Faye (Cunningham) Dixon.
Homer worked for International Shoe Company and C & F Stamping. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jewel Thomas Dixon; and his sister, Betty Jean Stallons.
Survivors include his wife of 74 years, Vera Louise Dixon, Hopkinsville, KY; his sons, William Homer Dixon, Hopkinsville, KY. and Darryl Glen (Patti) Dixon, Hopkinsville, KY; his sister, Judith Ann Cartwright, Caldwell County, KY; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
