Homer M. Mason

Homer M. Mason, 84, Binns Mill Road, Herndon, KY passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 at his daughter’s home of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Lamb Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Powell Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the funeral home.

A native of Christian County, KY, he was born June 26, 1937, the son of the late Carl Franklin Mason and the late Addie Bell (Ezell) Mason.

Homer served in the United States Navy. He was a foreman at Christian Quarries and worked as a heavy equipment operator at Rogers Group. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christy (Jones) Mason; his daughter, Christine Renee Stevenson; his brothers, Gene Arnold Mason, Frank Boyd Mason, Raymond Tinsley Mason, Carl Franklin "Rooster" Mason, Henry Jones, Gaylon Jones, Jimmy Jones, Paul Jones, and Dan Jones; his sisters, Margaret Ann Mason and Pam Collins. 

Survivors include his loving daughter, Janie (Bill) Rascoe, Hopkinsville, KY; his sons, Keith (Arlene) Mason, Cerulean, KY, Tommy Mason, Hopkinsville, KY; his special daughter, Kim Rose Mason, Hopkinsville, KY; his sisters, Nadine Coleman, of Tennessee, Mae Frances Mason, Cadiz, KY, Ann Riddle, Springfield, TN; his brothers, Robert Jones, of Texas, Bruce Jones, Hopkinsville, KY, Billy Jones, of Massachusetts; his grandchildren, JR Glass, Matt Glass, George (Brooke) Hale, Lee Cowan, Allen Mason, Elizabeth Mason, Emilie Pierce, Christa (Chris) Stites, Brittany (Frankie) Lemons; his great-grandchildren, Patrick Glass, Jayden Glass, Jada Glass, Cain Glass, Matthew Glass, Gentry Glass, Skye Mason, Sawyer Mason, Ellie-Mae Mason, Autumn Mason, Mia Pierce, Ava Pierce, Emerson Dwyer, Paeton Lemons, Braedyn Lemons, Trenton Lemons, Rylee Stites, Christopher Stites, Jonathan Cowan, Brooklynn Cowan, Darin Henderson, Sean Henderson, Cheyenne Hale, Haley Scott, Sarah Scott, and Emily Scott; his great-great-grandchildren, Mason Hester and Rhenlee Curtiss.
