James A. Heltsley

James A. Heltsley, 91, Petsch Lane, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Christian Health Center, Hopkinsville, KY of natural causes.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Green Hill Memorial Gardens with Kevin Cavanah officiating. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Tuesday March 8, 2022 at Lamb Funeral Home.

A native of Christian County, KY he was born March 17, 1930 the son of the late George H. Heltsley and the late Arminda (McPherson) Heltsley.

James served in the United States Army and was the accountant and manager at RC Owen Lumber Company. He was a member of Hopkinsville Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clayton Heltsley, Virgil Heltsley, and Glendal Heltsley; and his sister, Chessie Nelson.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Margaret Campbell Heltsley, Hopkinsville, KY; his son, Jonathan C. Heltsley, Hopkinsville, KY; his daughter, Belinda (Jared) Hanscom, Wilsonville, AL; his sister, Betty (Charlie) Lancaster, Hopkinsville, KY; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
