James E. Wells, 84, Greenville Road, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at his home from injuries sustained in a pedestrian accident.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Coal Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the funeral home.
A native of Christian County, Kentucky, he was born June 30, 1937, the son of the late Earl R. Wells and the late Lillian Pearl (Brinkley) Wells.
James was a farmer and Valedictorian of Lacy High School, class of 1955.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Rager) Wells; his brothers, Lawrence Wells and Thurmond Wells; his sister, Louise (Sis) Kaetzel; his grandson, Bradley Lee; and his great-grandson, Aidan Jones.
Survivors include his three daughters, Cindy (Rick) Means, Beth (Danny) Johns, and Jamie (Shane) Harris, all of Hopkinsville, KY; his sister, Glenda Sue Wells, Hopkinsville, KY; his grandchildren, Jarrod Lee, Olivia Means, Hillary Harris, Shannon Daugherty, Jessie Harris, Brigette Dickerson and Whitney Hoover; and his great-grandchildren, Dylan Lee, Nathan Lee, Lelan Lee, Addison Harris, Bailey Brown, and Austin Dickerson.
