James "Jim" W. Castle, 86, Lafayette Road, Hopkinsville, Kentucky, died Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Christian Health Center of natural causes.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2020 at Lamb Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Bufford officiating and Rev. Kenny Rogers assisting. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the funeral home.
A native of Pike County, Kentucky, he was born February 27, 1934, the son of the late Fred Castle and the late Gladys Meade Castle.
He was a Retired First Sergeant in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division. He was a former lieutenant at Kentucky State Penitentiary and a bailiff for Christian County Sheriff's Office. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Castle; and his son, Mike Everett.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary Beth Baker, Cadiz; his sons, Dudley Calvin (Penny) Everett III, Cadiz, and Timothy Mark (Ginny) Everett, Miami, Florida; his brothers, Jackie (Debbie) Castle, West Virginia, Roger Castle, Bowling Green, Kentucky; his sister, Wanda Salyer, Indiana; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
