James “Jim” E. Johnson, 93, Ovil Road, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2025 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Croft officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2025 at the funeral home.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY, he was born July 11, 1931, the son of the late Charles Johnson and the late Beulah (Meacham) Johnson.
Jim served in the United States Army and was a parts manager for Baldwin Truck and Tractor. He was a deacon and member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Iola Henderson Johnson; his brothers, Jessie Johnson, Otis Johnson, and Ronnie Johnson; his sister, Ernestine Patchen; and his grandson, Derrick Johnson.
Survivors include his son, Robert Johnson, Hopkinsville, KY; his daughters, Sharon (William Rodney) Flynn, Hopkinsville, KY, Donna (Fred Martin) Higgins, Bartow, FL; his brother, Jerry Johnson, Hopkinsville, KY; 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
