James S. "Jim" Stepp, 91, Kenwood Drive, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Tennova Healthcare, Clarksville, TN of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2023 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Hicks officiating. Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2023 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Friday, November 10, 2023 at the funeral home.
A native of Hopkins County, KY, he was born February 11, 1932, the son of the late John Elliott Stepp and the late Elizabeth Jane (Cannon) Stepp.
Jim served in the United States Navy and was a carpenter. He was a member of Henderson Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ruben Stepp; and his sister, Betty Beatty.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Bridges Kirkman Stepp, Hopkinsville, KY; his sons, James (Evelyn) Stepp, Jr. Kokomo, IN, Jonny Stepp, Stoughton, MA; his step-sons, Lee (Andrea) Kirkman, Hixson, TN, Brad (Lori) Kirkman, Hopkinsville, KY; his daughters, Cindy McNamara, Walpole, MA, Sandra (Bob) Dedrick, of Florida; 4 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
