James L. “Jimmy” Mayton, 91, Spain Lane, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Riverside Cemetery with Terry Hancock officiating. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
A native of Christian County, KY, he was born September 2, 1930, the son of the late Andrew Bishop Mayton and the late Mary Lou (Spencer) Mayton.
Jimmy served in the United States Army and worked for Pennyrile Asphalt for 40 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Fields Mayton; and his sons, Dale Mayton and James Andrew Mayton.
Survivors include his sons, Terry Bruce Mayton and Richard D. Mayton, both of Hopkinsville, KY; his daughter, Jody Bader, Hopkinsville, KY; his sister, Ruby Nell Hardwick, Clarksville, TN; 7 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
