Joan B. Early

Joan B. Early, 90, Southgate Drive, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center, Hopkinsville, KY of natural causes.

A private family graveside will be held Friday, April 11, 2025 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

A native of Kokomo, IN, she was born April 9, 1934, the daughter of the late Albert Francis Summerton and the late Birgitte Viola (Calais) Summerton.

Joan was a statistics clerk for US Steel Company. She was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church and Disabled American Veterans.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, RJ Early.

Survivors include her sons, Geoffrey Jensen, New Orleans, LA, Gregory Jensen, Canyon City, CO; her daughter, Laura Jean Lewis, Adamsville, TN; her grandchildren, Caitlin Jensen, Cassidy Meador, Justin Jensen, Meleah Jensen and Cynthia Yeo; and her great-grandchildren, Jacob Early Meador and Riley Yeo.
