Joe Farris

Joe Farris, 77, Old Madisonville Road, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Friday, July 3, 2026 at his home of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2026 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Humphries officiating. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until the service hour on Monday, July 6, 2026 at the funeral home.

A native of Christian County, KY, he was born September 14, 1948, the son of the late Belva Farris and the late Christine (P’Pool) Higgins.

Joe served in the United States Army. He worked for Southern States and also was a mechanic. He was a faithful believer in Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Glenn Farris and Billy Farris.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Brenda Farris, Hopkinsville, KY; his son, Shannon (Rose Mary) Farris, Christian County, KY; his daughter, Melita Kelly, Christian County, KY; his brother, Mike Farris, Christian County, KY; his sisters, Peggy Hale, Judy P’Pool, and Tina Cox, all of Christian County, KY; his grandchildren, Jamie (Haley) Combs, Slayton (Sadie) Kelly, and Madison (Nathan) Gray; and 5 great-grandchildren.
