Joel Francis Hanson, Jr., 74, Hopkinsville, KY, was reunited in heaven with his parents and his heavenly Father Friday, November 6, 2020 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.

There will be no immediate services. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

A native of Hopkinsville, he was born October 8, 1946, the son of the late Joel F. Hanson, Sr. and the late Charleen (Jones) Hanson.

He was a police officer for Hopkinsville Police Department for 3 years. He was also a truck driver for Overnite Transportation for 26 years.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Patricia Ann Boyd Hanson, Hopkinsville, KY; his children, Lori Ann Morgan, Pensacola, FL and Christine (Delroy) Chang, Miami, FL; his sister, Charlotte Rachel (Ed) Flener, Gridley, Kansas; 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
