Joel Dean Stallins

Joel Dean Stallins, 83, Bethel Street, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at his home of natural causes.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with Chaplain Lloyd Tucker officiating. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

A native of Caldwell County, KY, he was born December 29, 1936, son of the late Chester Stallins and the late Elsie (Glass) Stallins.

He served in the United States Army and worked for R.C. Owens Lumber Company where he was the manager for 35 years. He also was a truck driver for Kentucky Western Truck Lines.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, GW Stallins, Vernon Stallins, Olen "Curly" Stallins, Doward Stallins and Roy Karnes;  his sisters, Dorothy Nicholes and Lucille Young.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Dema Stallins, Hopkinsville, KY; his daughter, Donna (Tracy) Forgette, Hopkinsville, KY; his sister, Velma LaPrade, Princeton, KY; 5 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
