Johnnie B. Travis

Johnnie Travis, 88, Stone Valley Drive, Hopkinsville, Kentucky, died Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at his home of natural causes. 

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2020 at Lamb Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Bufford officiating and Rev. Greg Giltner assisting. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the funeral home.

A native of Browder, Kentucky, he was born on January 25, 1932, the son of the late Earl Travis and the late Beaulah (Beasley) Travis.

He was a retired Master Sergeant for the United States Air Force and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Earlene Putnam.

Survivors include his wife, Chun C. Travis, Hopkinsville, KY; his sons, Johnnie B. Travis Jr., Marietta, GA; and Michael Hamilton Travis, Marietta, GA; his daughter Dani Lynn Travis, Marietta, GA; his brother, David Travis, Abilene, TX; his sister, Pauline Payne, Owensboro, KY; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
