Joseph Edward Colvin, Sr.

Joseph Edward Colvin, Sr., 77, Poole Mill Road, Crofton, KY, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023 at his daughter’s home of natural causes.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2023 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at the funeral home.

A native of Richmond, CA, he was born April 16, 1946, the son of the late Donald Furnice Colvin and the late Thelma Margurite (Farthing) Colvin.

Joseph retired Staff Sergeant from the United States Army after serving two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and VFW Post 1913.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Helen Kay Lyons Colvin, Crofton, KY; his sons, Joseph Edward Colvin, Jr., Donald Monroe Colvin, and Ronald Dale Colvin, all of Fresno, CA; his daughters, Mary Elizabeth Esty, Hopkinsville, KY, Angela LaFlamme, Kingman, AZ; his brother, Robert Adams, Half Moonbay, CA; his sister, Donna May, Mantega, CA; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
