Katie McCollom

Katie McCollom, 87, Lafayette Road, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Covington's Convalescent Center, Hopkinsville, KY of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Felts officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the funeral home.

A native of Owensboro, KY, she was born, March 16, 1935, the daughter of the late William Greenwell and the late Mary (Tipmore) Greenwell.

Katie was a substitute teacher and a secretary. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. McCollom; her brothers; William Greenwell, Ronnie Greenwell, and Donnie Greenwell; her sisters; Phyllis Newton, Dorothy Embry, Virginia Polter, Betty Ambs, Ann Curtis and Mryl Bloomquit.

Survivors include her sons, Mark Franklin (Barb) McCollom, Warsaw, IN, Barry (Jean) McCollom, New Concord, KY; her brothers, James Greenwell, Oak Hill, VA, Wayne Greenwell, Owensboro, KY; her sisters, Jane Ranson, Bardstown, KY, Catherine Wigginton, Owensboro, KY; her grandchildren, Nathan, Zeb, Barry Jr., Drew, Katarina, Georgia, and Brady.
