Killous Joiner, 89, Murfreesboro, TN, formerly of Trigg County, KY, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021 at his home of natural causes.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with Rev. Mark Pierce officiating. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home. The family requests that everyone please wear their face masks.
A native of Trigg County, KY, he was born November 23, 1931, the son of the late Furman Knox Joiner and the late Madeline Elizabeth (Mitchell) Joiner.
Killous served in the United States Army. He was also a mechanic and dairy farmer. He was a Mason and a member of Horse Mountain Church of Christ in Shelbyville, TN.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Waudean Joiner; his brother, Dewey Mitchell; his sisters, Ethel Alexander and Flossie Garner.
Survivors include his daughters, Shirley Day, Springfield, AR, Rita Stephens, Murfreesboro, TN, Vickie Bass, Bartow, FL, Kay McCarty, Winter Haven, FL; his sister, Katherine Behm of Michigan; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
